Lance: How did you end up over here, Dr. Herb?
Dr. Herb: The fire caused me to reprioritize my life. I became a religious man. Now, I train students the art of healing. I know my students will make a difference... which leads me to you, Theodore.
Theo: ...Me, my Lord?
Dr. Herb: Theodore, I want you to go out and see the world. Please join Lance in his journey.
Lance and Theo: WHAT?
Dr. Herb: I have taught you all that I can from this monastery. You must now complete your training by learning from real-world experiences. I fear you have been given too much combat theory and not enough healing practice in the battlefield. Lance will provide the protection of a swordsman. I can think of no one better.
(Dr. Herb pours the measured water into a heated pan)
Dr. Herb: Most importantly, this is an opportunity of adventure. You must realize there is more to this world than the monastery.
(Dr. Herb pours the hot water into three mugs to make tea)
Dr. Herb: I know you'll do well with Theodore, Lance. In fact, 'twas I who instructed him to procure some armor for you.
Lance: And here I thought you did that out of the kindness of your heart.
Theo: For the same man who mistook me as a woman?
Dr. Herb: Tea?
